The Financial Health Check is an assessment of your personal finances, the main risks you face, and recommended actions to get you to progress towards your goals.
Step 1: You are sent forms seeking the information we need to carry out the assessment. This helps you; organise your finances, think about and prioritise your main goals, and give us the relevant information to assess your situation and provide recommendations to achieve your goals.
Step 2: You spend the time you need completing the forms. The numbers side of this is normally pretty quick. You’ll have to check your accounts, loans, recent expenses, investments, insurances, etc. to give us an up-to-date picture of where you are financially.
The part that often takes a bit more time is the softer side of things – thinking about and prioritising your goals, and questions around your knowledge and tolerance to investment risk.
You send this when you are ready. For some people this will take a day or 2. Some people need 2 weeks. Take as long as you need.
Step 3: A financial planner will assess your information. They will compile and send your Financial Health Check with; options for general improvements, the main risks you face, and specific recommended actions to improve your situation and works towards your goals.
Step 4: Back to you! There is some value in getting organised and having a qualified assessment of where you’re at. The main value comes from you taking action.
Important Note:
This is a no-contact engagement so you won’t be meeting anyone or having a phone meeting seeking further information or context. If your situation is fairly basic and you are looking to figure out where your starting place is and get going, this could be perfect for you. If you are comfortable taking action without much support, this will be perfect for you. If you hate talking to people but still want to improve your finances, this is for you.
After this engagement if you decide you would like a meeting to discuss and get more information, the fee is €150 for a 60-120 minute call. This is typically 90 minutes long.
We recommend going straight for the standard Financial Health Check, which is €350 and includes this call if: you believe your situation is a bit more complicated, or you require some clarification or education on part of your situation, or you would just like the comfort of talking through your situation and assessment.
